Q. How does wireless internet work?
A. Our secure, wireless internet system is 'fed' by a host of microwaved T1 lines. We then transmit the internet from one of our 12 tower antennas to your home. Our trained technicians install a small, flat antenna panel at your residence/business. We employ encrypted military hopping frequency standards to transmit internet to and from your home/business.
Q. Are you an ISP?
A. We are a full-service internet service provider. Just some of the services we provide are: personal and commercial web hosting, email, static IP addressing, etc.
Q. When can I reach technical support?
A. Technical support is available 24/7 by email and telephone (928) 468-6898 . Our highly trained technical staff is located in Payson and is prepared to handle most tech support by telephone.

Spam and Phishing Q&A
Q. What is spam? (email)
A. Spam by e-mail involves sending the same messages to thousands of e-mail addresses that have been posted on web pages, obtained from databases, or guessed by using common names and domains. By definition, Spam is sent without the permission of the recipients.
Q. Can I stop Spam ?
A. The short answer is NO! There are some steps you can take to reduce it. Use a separate email address when you post messages to any public forum, such as newsgroups and mailing lists. You can use a free email service for these tasks. There are 100's out there.
- Be sure to read the TOS (terms of service) before you sign up or buy anything from a web site and make sure it stats that they do not sell your information.
- Filter your e-mail. This needs to be done through your email program and you will need to read the documentation on that program to achieve this.
- Side Note: There can be some undesired affects to filtering your emails such as receiving your newsgroups emails or friends with a odd email address being place in the filtered folder or not receiving them at all.
- To assist CBI in the ongoing war against spam, you can forward all of your spam email to spam@cbiwireless.com. This effort will help "teach" the spam blocker on our server. Please be sure it is spam and not a newsgroup/forum etc. that you have signed up for and have tired of. If you wish not to receive newsgroup emails follow the instructions they provide to be removed from there list.
Q. What is Phishing and Pharming?
A. Phishing and Pharming is used to steal consumers' personal identity data and financial account credential

E-Mail Q & A
Q. What are Mailer-Daemon Errors from?
A. These are the most common problems.
- Misspelled e-mail addresses.
- The e-mail server you are sending to is down.
- the e-mail server you are sending to has been overloaded.
- Your e-mail address has been blocked or the recipient has there e-mail set only to receive certain e-mails.
- On a rare occasion a Phishing attack can cause this. In this case you would receive many Mailer-Daemon Errors please report this right away.
Server
Q. What is the definition of a server or server mode?
A. Any computer that automatically processes requests or automatically sends processed information.
Here are some examples:
- If your e-mail program is set to check your e-mail every 30 seconds you are in server mode.
- Letting others access your files from a remote location.(vpn, http, ftp, etc)
- Not running a antivirus program and allowing a virus to infect your system and consume to much bandwidth.( If your computer has a virus disconnect it from the Internet.)
- Using a defective router that can cause a constant flow of terrific.
- Running any file sharing program(s).
