Microsoft Outlook Express Setup
To set up your CBI account in Outlook Express on your computer, follow the instructions below. Click on any image for a larger view.
With Microsoft Outlook Express open, click on the Tools menu, then click on Accounts...:
Select View or Change existing e-mail accounts
In the next window, select your CBI account by double-clicking directly on the account.
In the next window, click on the Servers tab along the top. The following window (image below) will come up. The POP3 and SMTP server are both mail.cbiwireless.com. Please ensure that the settings match the image below, subsituting your email and password in the appropriate fields. Check the Remember Password box if you want Outlook Express to automatically store your password.
Further more, please be sure that the password you insert in these settings matches the password you use to access the webmail. If you have not yet accessed the webmail since the new system was put in your password is "CBI." See sidebar to the right for instructions.
Make sure that the box next to Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is left unchecked. Under Outgoing Mail Server, check the box next to: My server requires authentication. Please be sure that you select this setting! If you do not, you will not be able to send mail out. Click OK.
You can now close out all the boxes and select Send and Receive to verify the system is working. If you have any any problems, please call Support at (928) 468-6898.
If you are using a mail client other than Outlook Express and need further assistance, go to http://www.domaindirect.com/popclient.html and select the type of mail client you are using. This site will guide you on setting up a new account or making changes to you account. Please remember when the directions refer to “your domain” you want to type cbiwireless.com and when they refer to “you” please type in your email name. Anywhere your system has settings that say "cbi", be sure to replace it with full email address (i.e. xxxx@cbiwireless.com).
Webmail Access/Password Setup
To access your email account, please go to http://webmail.cbiwireless.com and sign in using your full email address in the username field and "cbi" (without the quotation marks) in the password field. Once in your account, you may change your password to one of your choosing, and we recommend you do so before anything else. Your password is YOUR responsibility.
Once in your account, you can read, compose, reply and forward directly from the webmail interface.
